| ".....master of phrasing and virtuoso in rhythm..........it’s a long time we heard a top-saxophone player who has such a warm and at the same time powerful tone on an alto saxophone." Süddeutsche Zeitung With his quintet ‘Sacred Sounds’, Tom Reinbrecht made his dream come true to combine American Jazz with European musictradition. The ten compositions of this debut CD, inspired by real and fictive stories, are an intelligent mixture of highenegetic bop tunes, emotionally charged lyricism and including folkloristic influences of European but also South- and North American music culture. When hearing Reinbrechts sound, one can feel his musical roots: Woods, Cannonball, Desmond.
In Grammy-Nominee Claudio Roditi, Tom Reinbrecht found a perfectly suitable trumpeter (also partly on flugelhorn) was found, who also is a master in crossing musical bounderies.
